Sacramento County’s
Draft General Plan identifies the Grant Line
East area (below) as a potential new growth
area. To further explore the opportunities
afforded by this area, the County
initiated a process to create a “vision”
for how the Grant Line East area may look in
the future, including the type, mix and
location of land uses and associated
infrastructure needs, important habitat and
open spaces to preserve, etc. This process
involved substantial public outreach to
seek the input of stakeholders and the
general public and resulted in
conceptual land use and transportation plans
for the Grant Line East area, as well as a
wealth of information that will guide future
decision-making and potential development in
this area.
Thank You to Those Who Participated in
Our March 27th and April 30th Workshops!’

Elementary School where participants
provided thoughts and comments for policies and
principles of new development in the

second workshop focused on discussing
land use and circulation alternatives.
All workshop results will be included in
the final report to be presented to the
Board of Supervisors at the completion
of the project.
