THE PLANNING AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT serves
the County by administering the County's land use
planning programs. For more detailed information,

CURRENT PLANNING AND ZONING services, including zoning information and review of private development projects and processing to the various hearing bodies.
CODE ENFORCEMENT, including enforcement of the Zoning Code and abatement of public nuisances such as dangerous buildings, junk vehicles and junk and rubbish.
COMMUNITY PLANNING ADVISORY COUNCILS have been created in the unincorporated area of the County to facilitate and invite direct citizen participation in the planning processing involving the present and future development policies affecting their communities.
COMMUNITY
PLANNING COUNCILS have been formed as a pilot project to
provide decision-making authority to a panel of residents appointed
by the Board of Supervisors. Each Council functions as a County
Planning Commission and meet monthly.
PLANNING REVIEW includes discretionary and non-discretionary hearing bodies for land use, zoning, and related issues. Agendas, calendars, and minutes are provided.
